Role Overview:
As the Executive Sous Chef at Buffalo Wild Wings, you will play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. You will help lead the back-of-house team, maintain high food-quality standards, and make sure every order is prepared and presented consistently, even during the busiest shifts. Your leadership and culinary expertise will directly contribute to a great guest experience.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Previous experience leading a busy, high-volume kitchen as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or in a similar position.
- Strong culinary knowledge with a solid understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, quality standards, and presentation.
- Ability to coach, develop, and motivate a diverse kitchen team while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and keep kitchen operations on track.
- Clear and effective communication skills when working with the Executive Chef, front-of-house leaders, and kitchen staff.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Take charge of kitchen operations when the Executive Chef is not on-site, ensuring the team remains organized and productive.
- Lead, train, and support kitchen employees so recipes and menu items are prepared accurately and consistently.
- Monitor food quality, portioning, preparation, and presentation throughout each shift.
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, ordering, and receiving while helping control food costs and reduce unnecessary waste.
- Maintain compliance with HACCP guidelines and all applicable health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Build strong communication and working relationships between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Assist with menu updates, recipe improvements, and ideas that can make kitchen operations more efficient.
- Inspect kitchen equipment regularly and help arrange maintenance or repairs when needed.
- Help manage labor expenses by scheduling and positioning team members effectively based on business needs.
